Bonfire Party

Hello readers!

A few months ago I had a bonfire party.

It was cold. It was the end of Fall. And we had a blast!

I invited a few friends over and we roasted marshmallows, made s’mores, and laughed until the moon was high in the sky. This is an extremely simple party to put together. Below are just a few ways to make it fancier than your normal bonfire get together.

This adds a classy feel to an otherwise casual party.

Save Some Bucks – DIY

Last time we posted a DIY project, a lot of people seemed to really like it!

So, we thought it’d be fun to share a few more DIY projects that will save you money for your event! Below are some ideas that might take some time, but save you quite a few buckaroos in the process.

Add some funk to your party with this DIY polka dot board. Imagine having an entire wall covered by this piece. Talk about livening it up!

We can see these being used above each table as a hanging centerpiece. Can you picture it?

Introducing the “Lollipop Plant”. Our recommendation is to use this on a dessert table or on the “Kids Only” table. Children will love it and quite frankly, we think this is an adorable, easy-to-make centerpiece!

Thanks for stopping by! As always, it’s a pleasure to share our ideas with you. Have your own DIY project that you simply couldn’t imagine living without? Feel free to share in the comments below!

When it comes to graduations, most graduates are simply happy to have their diploma in hand. But, we must agree, there is a certain excitement that surrounds a graduation party. Celebrating with family and friends never gets old. So, in light of this graduation season, enjoy a taste of fun ideas for graduations found below!

I’m starting to see a trend with our posts… they almost always involve food! I suppose that’s what you get when you ask a foodie to blog about event planning. It’s also what happens when you ask an Italian foodie to blog about event planning. Well, there ya go folks. Once you have diploma in hand, the most important aspect is the food or dessert! (Just kidding! In all truth, there are many more important aspects, but like I said, here we wanted to share just a taste of a couple cute ideas.)

Happy Planning (and eating!!)

Consider it, our gift, to you.

These coasters are incredibly easy to make. All you need are white tiles, a piece of lace that will be used to make the design, and a spray paint color of your choice.

Simply lay the lace over the tile, secure, and spray. It’s super easy and incredibly cute!

Sixteen today. Tomorrow, the world!

Sweet 16 parties are a sort of “coming of age” party for girls. Sixteen is the age where most can get their permit to drive and parents begin to let go just a little more. Young girls love turning sixteen, because for them, it can be an announcement to the world that they are growing up and getting ready to take the world by storm.

These parties can range from a small get together at home all the way to the biggest party known to man. Whichever way you go, here are some fun ideas to get the party (planning) started!

Lately, I’ve been in love with the butterfly theme for a Sweet 16. It’s very significant to correlate a caterpillar that cocoons and then breaks forth beautiful and transformed, to a young girl who has her “coming of age” party.

These cake pops are a great favor. They’re tasty and fairly inexpensive!

For a sit down dinner (or even buffet) you may want to place a list of food choices on the plates of your guest. The butterfly napkin ring adds another flair to this cute, but simple layout.

Centerpieces behind your table cards are a great way to tie in your theme and decor.

This centerpiece is stunning. The best part is that the vase is thin, as to not block the view of your guests. The second best part is that it ties in the colors beautifully, all the while staying within nearly anyone’s budget.

Whatever you decide to do for a Sweet 16 party, remember that this is a special time in their lives. You can make it an exquisite night to remember, all the while keeping yourself sain and not breaking your budget.

Aurora Borealis

Tonight we’ve been put on high alert for the possibility of seeing the Aurora Borealis! Due to this, I felt inspired by the beautiful pictures taken and thought, How neat would it be to design a party around that theme?

After a bit of searching, I found this picture and thought the creative ceiling would be a perfect design for our said party theme.

Gotta say, my fingers are crossed in the hopes we’ll get to view this stunning occurrence.

How about you? Would you theme your party after the Aurora Borealis?

Ceiling Drapes

Something we’ve recently fallen in love with are ceiling drapes. For lack of better terminology, this is when a regular ceiling is suddenly transformed by fabric draped across the entire ceiling.

The above picture beautifully displays a ceiling drape. It transformed this regular room, into appearing as though guests were sitting outside in the beautiful outdoors.

Hope you like!

Outdoor Decor

Want some simple decorations that are unique and beautiful? Say no more! We’ve got the thing for you.

These are light bulbs that have had their inner workings removed. Then, they were simple filled with water and small flowers. Once the water and flowers are resting in the light bulb, you can then hang them up above your guests or in another outdoor spot to add to your decor.

We love this idea as it’s fairly simple, it’s beautiful, and it’s a unique way to decorate. We hope you like it too!

Baby Shower – Fountain Drinks

Hello to our lovely readers!

Usually I’ll wait a few days between posts to share some of the incredibly cute ideas we’ve found for our clients. This one though, I couldn’t wait to share! Hopefully your reaction will be the same as mine.

Today, I’ll be sharing an adorable way of serving punch at a baby shower. I’ll also include the recipe for good measure. =)

Baby Shower Punch via Pinterest

How absolutely adorable is that! If your reaction was to tilt your head sideways and say, “Awwwww” then that was my exact reaction as well. If you simply stared at it and didn’t understand why rubber duckies were floating in the punch, all the more reason to keep reading and give us a call! =)

If you’d like to tackle this on your own, simply follow this easy recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet blue, unsweetened Kool-Aid (Look for Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade or Berry Blue flavors)
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle Ginger Ale
  • 8 scoops pineapple sherbet
  • 2-3 Rubber Duckies (make sure they float – bathtub toys)

Instructions

  1. Chill ginger ale over night
  2. Remove sherbet from freezer about 1/2 hour before serving punch to soften
  3. In a large bowl, combine Kool-Aid packet and ginger ale. Stir to blend.
  4. Float 8 scoops of softened sherbet on top
  5. Add Rubber Duckies (don’t forget to wash before using)
  6. Invite your guests to come quench their thirst!

Happy Planning!
